Vision: Help low-income groups and financially stable them.

Hypothesis: The most affected people from COVID 19 pandemic are from low-income group, migrant workers and people who don't have financial stability, The "Seekho aur Kamao" scheme can be the solution which helps to build this community more strongly after the lockdown is over, which helps to build the nation becoming more and more developed.

National Skill Development Policy anticipates that the skill and knowledge are the driving force of economic growth and social development for any country. India has the highest number of young population in the world but still, we lack the skills that are required by the industries. In the other scenario, these unskilled workers suffer the most at the time of any crisis pandemic or economic. One of the reasons is the lack of education. According to a report of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the Government of India tells that about 63% of the school students drop out at different stages before reaching class-X.

While doing research on finding a solution to this financial crisis of low-income group or migrant laborers, I have come across one scheme named "Earn and Learn" which was first implemented by a social activist Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil in Maharashtra. Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India also provides the scheme named "Seekho aur Kamao ". It targets the youth from 14 - 35 years of age and aims to improve the employability of existing workers, school dropouts, etc. The scheme has been implemented through enlisting expert organizations, termed Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) in the field of Skill training and industrial associations who could ensure employability. But still, the percentage of school dropouts is high may be due to many reasons.

My Thought: Inviting industries to school instead of giving training to the students through Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) can be a progressive step. We need to focus on the students who are studying in schools for vocational skill training along with school dropouts. We can do that with a stepwise plan which will help to motivate for completing the high schooling for each student from the low-income group. How we can do that? We can do that by offering them the jobs which will also help them to increase their skills and earn money out of it after completing school hours. Some percentage of the amount which they get will get after the week or after month and the remaining amount will be deposited to the government's scheme. The remaining amount which will be saved will be given back to the student by the government scheme, after completing the high schooling plus the incentive of the same amount deposited by the government will be given to the student collectively which will help the student for joining the job with more skills and financial stability or generating self-employment or taking the higher studies, etc.

During various skill training periods over the years, the training given by various industries and their products cyclically or on rotation to give an idea about various industries which will help them to identify their interest.

Along with sports, art, and other cultural activities, we could implement this plan within schools for low-income group students and make them financially stable. I believe that the future of India will be very bright, that is why I am sharing my thoughts on this topic and trying my best to contribute to my country.
